2024 PCA Sightseeing Tour-Wednesday, May 15th
The Newport Mansions Sightseeing Trip Plan to arrive in Providence-Warwick no later than Tuesday, May 14th so that you can participate in the optional sightseeing trip on Wednesday (additional fees are associated with this trip). Travel by coach bus to Newport, Rhode Island, home of the summer “cottages” of the turn of the century wealthy. These mansions are also used in the HBO series “The Gilded Age”. You will have the opportunity to tour The Breakers, the largest and best known of these mansions, and summer home for the Vanderbilts. You will drive by the other mansions, including Rosecliff, featured prominently in the 1974 movie “The Great Gatsby”. The trip will include a stop for lunch and shopping (cost not included) at Brick Marketplace. The coach will also take you along the famous Ten Mile Drive before returning to our hotel, leaving time for you to pick up registration materials and fully participate in convention activities. The tour will depart at 9:00 AM from the front entrance of the hotel. Cost, not including lunch, is $80. Please direct any questions to Ellen J. Rostker at [email protected].
